Impact Effort Matrix

An Impact Effort Matrix evaluates improvement opportunities by ranking them in two areas: Impact (benefits) and Effort (difficulty to implement). This is a good way to decide what to work on. The opportunities that are the easiest to accomplish and deliver the most benefit, rise to the top.

Often, we use an affinity diagram to develop the opportunity list for the matrix.
