3P Production Preparation Process

An advanced Lean technique, the 3P Production Preparation Process focuses on utilizing creative thinking related to product or process design. Typically conducted in workshop format with a cross-functional team, the goal is to rapidly gather and understand data, conceptualize radical ideas and then mock up, test, measure, time and validate alternatives for each step. The team evaluates their ideas against certain criteria and customer requirements before selecting the best and most efficient process design.
